Just a heads up to anyone who’s going to or on the fence of going to Fanime 2013 in San Jose, CA. I’ll be there again this year selling with my awesome friends and other great artists listed above! Go check out their page! :3 We’ll be towards the back of the Artist Alley, and our tables will be rainbow themed (once again); I’ll be sitting at the orange table (#167). We shouldn’t be hard to miss.

I’ll be there selling mine and Tairupanda’s prints and buttons, some new some old. I’ll try to set up a list of prints and buttons before Fanime begins to give you all an idea of what to expect there.

Unfortunately, Tairupanda will not be able to attend. Only I will be at the table, taking on-site traditional commissions. Hope to see you there! :]

Got an idea from my stream viewers to draw a superhero Tavi. So here’s SuperTavi :D

His superpowers include using turquoise-colored lightning and the power of flight!! *boring*

I ordered the Cintiq 13HD and got it set up the other day. I tweeted with this. 

After two days of using it, lets just say I am very satisfied with it! It feels natural to draw with, since I’m working directly onto the canvas. My strokes are more accurate and I can easily rotate the Cintiq. It’s easy to hold on your lap, it being roughly the same size and weight as an Intuos 4. Personally, I’ve had trouble drawing on other tablets like the Intuos or the Graphire because I have poor eye to hand coordination, so the Cintiq definitely works better for me.

The only concern I have is the stand, but its either I’m using it wrong or it was poorly designed. Sometimes the stand collapses or the Cintiq slides back on it. Its nothing I can’t fix with a few easy modifications though. I’m really forgiving when it comes to flaws, so other things like the calibration getting strange at the edges of the screen doesn’t bother me as much, but it may bother others so it’s worth noting.

Overall, I’d say the Cintiq is definitely a good investment. I never tried drawing on other tablet devices like the Yiynova or the Surface Pro, so I can’t really compare. This isn’t so much of a review, but I wanted to share my own thoughts on it.

I did a few livestreams of myself working on the Cintiq, so if you want to see me draw, I’ll be posting here as well (aside from just my twitter) when I start streaming in the future.

Mara Fish

Ununununium’s characters Mara and Fish protecting themselves from some heatwave blast attack. I thought they were cool so I drew them. Started off as doodles, and then they got out of hand D: There’s no finalized colors (or design) for Mara, so I just made her blue like in the sketches.

Onion Chef

Runner up chef but never a winner, Ally’s cooking flaw is that she loves and uses too much onions. She has a short temper and blows off steam for losing in cooking competitions by participating in fighting competitions. She uses her giant frying pan to bash her opponents faces in and onion bombs for ranged attacks.
